It looks like a jam jar, but it’s jammed full of solar cells, batteries and LEDs so that it sucks in the sun’s rays all day and gives them back at night.

No switches, very practical, and environmentally friendly, it just sits there and looks sweet. The Sun Jar was voted Eco Friendly Gift of Year 2007!

How it works
Just as jam jars store jam, the Sun Jar stores sunshine.

You sit the jar on your windowsill during the day, then when it gets dark the Sun Jar automatically turns itself on and glows with the day's sunshine.

Sun Jar contains a solar charging panel and low energy LED light bulb which produces a sumptuous orange or blue glow, with an auto light-sensitive on/off switch.
